Children’s Ministry

Children in Worship
At Eastminster, it is our great hope that all of our children will join us in worship with their families. Learning the stories of faith, parts of worship, celebrating the sacraments, learning the hymns of the faith and passing the peace with our church family are important times in the lives of our children. We believe children learn them best from participating in and worshiping alongside their church family. In order to support our children and their families, we provide worship bags and boxes for our children to help them participate. We also provide tables with activity boxes for families to worship together.
Children Ministry this Fall
Each Tuesday night at 6:30, all children are invited to join Joan for Zoom Storytime. We share a variety of children’s books and spend time checking in with our church friends. All are invited for this special time!
Starting Sep. 18th on Sundays at 11Am following Worship
Worshipping with our children can be an exciting time and it can also be a time full of questions wondering why we do the things we do!
During our Worshipping Together gatherings, our children 5th grade and younger will have the opportunity to participate in the beginning of the worship service with their families and then the children will go with Joan and other leaders to explore why and how we worship. We will meet for 6 Sunday mornings and then our children, in Kindergarten and older, will remain in the service and worship alongside their Eastminster family. Before we begin the children’s gatherings, we will have a time to meet with parents to talk about worship and what we will be learning together. Dates to be announced.
Children’s Sunday School

Children and Families Worshipping Together
This fall, we will provide a learning opportunity for our children and their families as we explore why and how we worship and how we, as children of God, can participate more fully. We will offer a gathering for parents to explore ways to worship together with our children as they become more active participants in worship. The children will be led in learning centers, create items that will assist in their worship, learn what it means to be an acolyte, learn about the sacraments of baptism and the Lord’s Supper and much more. More details coming soon.
Church Nursery/Childcare
We have a nursery for children, infants to preschool age, available each Sunday morning if needed, but all children are invited to worship with us and can share in the time for children during the worship service. Children K and older will worship with their families.
