Children in Worship

At Eastminster, it is our great hope that all of our children will join us in worship with their families. Learning the stories of faith, parts of worship, celebrating the sacraments, learning the hymns of the faith and passing the peace with our church family are important times in the lives of our children. We believe children learn them best from participating in and worshiping alongside their church family. In order to support our children and their families, we provide worship bags and boxes for our children to help them participate. We also provide tables with activity boxes for families to worship together.

All children are also invited to share in a Time with Children during the worship service. The stories and prayers that are shared during this time will teach the stories of faith to our children in words that they can understand. Our children also serve as acolytes, communion assistants, and liturgists on a regular basis.

Children’s Sunday School

Our preschool/elementary children gather following worship for a time of Building Stories, Brick by Brick. We will begin with the Parables and share in lego building as we learn these stories of our faith. Our youth will serve as group leaders and we will meet in the classroom located on the first floor near the nursery. All are invited!

Church Nursery/Childcare

We have a nursery for children, infants to preschool age, available each Sunday morning if needed, but all children are invited to worship with us and can share in the time for children during the worship service. Children K and older will worship with their families.

Special Events

Throughout the year, we provide special learning, fellowship and mission opportunities for our children and their families.
