2 Cents a MealOn
the 1st Sunday of each month pennies are collected from the congregation to be
used for our Food Ministry.
God's Pantry
Each Sunday we collect non-perishable food items that are dropped off weekly to God’s Pantry which serves the communities surrounding EPC. Cafe CulturaCafé Cultura is a program of the Center for Community Services (CCS), supported by Clemson University’s Institute on Family and Neighborhood Life (IFNL). Café Cultura is located in Building 6 at CCS, Simpsonville SC. It is a center providing multi-services that are ethnically and linguistically relevant to the Latino community; directly or through the agencies located at CCS. The Café offers support to, as well as cultural, social, and educational activities that provide opportunities for Latinos to connect with others in the community.
R. E. Cashion Elementary SchoolWe
collect school supplies every Fall for the Children of this school & also
have a book drive & collect box tops for them.
Building DreamsAn active ministry that matches mentors with children affected by incarceration.
This
national event takes place every year on Super Bowl Sunday. Where we collaborate with our Youth to
collect monetary donations to help feed those in our community who are
hungry. Alternative Gifts FairEvery year starting
Thanksgiving weekend running through Christmas Eve, we offer an Alternative
Gifts Fair, which allows people to purchase the gift of food, water, livestock
or fair trade items in honor of someone for a Christmas gift.
Angel TreeEvery
Christmas we offer an Angel Tree where members of the congregation choose a
child’s name off the tree and provide Christmas gifts for them. The children are from Robert Cashion,
Building Dream's and our Hispanic Ministry.
We also encourage and support United Ministries, Church World Service, Medical Benevolence Foundation, Heifer International and several other organizations/causes. |
