CHURCH NEWS
· Our guest preacher this Sunday, July 18th is the Rev. Dr. Robert D. Taylor. Robert is a retired Minister and served as Executive Presbyter for Foothills Presbytery for 25 years before retiring in 1998. Dr. Taylor lives in Greer and has three sons and two grandsons. His wife, Juliane, is an active Elder in the St. Giles Presbyterian Church. Eastminster Presbyterian Church was a dream of his and he worked diligently to get it started before his retirement, so being here is a special day for him.

· The Choir will rehearse on Sunday mornings at 9:50 a.m. Then during Worship the choir will offer the gift of song to God and the Eastminster congregation. No experience is necessary - please join us!
· Please join our host and hostess Rich and Gail Pocock in the back of the church this Sunday for another Social Sunday gathering immediately following worship.
· Summer Adult Sunday school meets in the Resource Center in the Presbytery building at 9:15 a.m.
· Back to School supplies for children at Robert Cashion School will be collected from Aug.1st - Aug. 15th. Some of the children who attend this school can't afford the things they need to start school, so please consider donating items like pencils and crayons and other supplies when you're shopping for your own children. A complete list is available by the donation box near the office. If you would like to make a monetary donation please put a check with "school supplies" written on the memo line in the box and I will buy supplies for you. Thanks so much for helping needy little students again this year! Question contact Gail Pocock at 322-7238.
· On Wednesday evenings plan to attend a Fellowship gathering at 6:00 p.m. at EPC. This will be a family friendly time of music and prayer in our outdoor worship space. In the event of rain we'll meet on the stage. A Potluck dinner will immediately follow at 6:30 p.m. Come join your church family in praise and fellowship!
· Over 50's Social will attend a Greenville Drive Game on Sunday August 8th at 7:00 PM. Questions, contact Anita Harley 286-6192 or aharley@charter.net
· The deadline for the August newsletter is this Sunday July 18th. Please email articles to Anitha Samuel at samuel_anitha@yahoo.com. Send items to be included in the newsletter in MS Word format or compatible format.
· If you are planning to use Eastminster during the 2010-2011 school year please contact the church office to schedule your dates on the master calendar before the office begins receiving outside requests.
· Cooking Class Reminder! For those who have signed up, Thursday, July 22 from 6:30-8:30 in Clarke's Kitchen. Anita Harley will be cooking up something exciting to share with us. Prayer request forms are available each Sunday morning on the welcome table in the commons.
· God's Pantry food donations. Please bring your donations and place them in the basket in the commons each week. Families need food everyday especially during the summer months when children are out of school.
