Missions and Outreach

2 Cents a Meal

On the 3rd Sunday of each month pennies are collected from the congregation to be used for our Food Ministry.

God's Pantry

Each Sunday we collect non-perishable food items that are dropped off weekly to God’s Pantry which serves the communities surrounding EPC.

Cafe Cultura

Café Cultura is a program of the Center for Community Services (CCS), supported by Clemson University’s Institute on Family and Neighborhood Life (IFNL). Café Cultura is located in Building 6 at CCS, Simpsonville SC. It is a center providing multi-services that are ethnically and linguistically relevant to the Latino community; directly or through the agencies located at CCS. The Café offers support to, as well as cultural, social, and educational activities that provide opportunities for Latinos to connect with others in the community


"Walk for the Homeless"

A fundraiser and homeless awareness walk in October that supports and benefits "Place of Hope", a homeless shelter of United Ministries.

We also encourage and support United Ministries, Church World Service, Medical Benevolence Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, Heifer International , Ghana Ministries, Latino and low-income school initiatives, Presbyterian Joy Gift and several other  organizations/causes.

Souper Bowl of Caring

This national event takes place every year on Super Bowl Sunday.  Where we collaborate with our Youth to collect monetary donations to help feed those in our community who are hungry.

Alternative Gifts Fair

Every year starting Thanksgiving weekend running through Christmas Eve, we offer an Alternative Gifts Fair, which allows people to purchase the gift of food, water, livestock or fair trade items in honor of someone for a Christmas gift.

Angel Tree

Every Christmas we offer an Angel Tree where members of the congregation choose a child’s name off the tree and provide Christmas gifts for them.  The children are from Robert Cashion, Building Dream's and our Hispanic Ministry.

Generous Garden Project

The Generous Garden Project fights hunger by Growing (using organic methods), Harvesting, Gleaning and Coordinating the delivery of fresh fruits and vegetables around the Upstate & Greenville, South Carolina areas. We provide lovingly grown, locally grown fresh produce to local food banks, shelters and ministries.

Robert Cashion Elementary School

We collect school supplies every Fall for the Children of this school & also have a book drive & collect box tops for them.

The Session of Eastminster Presbyterian Church consists of our pastor and the elders in active service.  The Session is governed by the Constitution of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).  Elders serve 3-year terms, and each year the congregation elects a new class of elders to replace the out-going elders.
